I began this blog as a way of describing how I work as an artist. I installed work at the Garden Station Gallery in Northumberland during the Summer of 2009 and it took twice as long as I expected (three days in all) because I was continually interrupted by visitors asking questions. Perhaps this is a way of trying to answer some of those questions.

New Exhibitions and Projects

October – December 2012 Re:collections, Oriental Museum, Durham University where I will be showing new works made in response to the collection of Asiatic Art.

March 2012 – Pollok House, Glasgow where I am exhibiting a new piece inspired by a 17th century miniature of Arbella Stuart by Peter Oliver.

February – August 2012 Swept Away – dust, ash and dirt in contemporary art, Museum of Art and Design, New York where I am showing Dust and Shadows.

January 2012 Magic Power Presence, publication launch in Edinburgh of artists book by IRIS Arts with follow up exhibition (venue tba). I am showing Raising Vampires, a moth piece originally made for the Garden Station in Northumberland.

December 2011 – Siesmographical Drawings at the Department of Engineering and Computer Studies, Durham University

2009 – 2013 ROBUST, Durham University working as associate artist to research project investigating the regeneration of contaminated landscapes. I am currently working on new pieces for installation in Summer 2012. (www.robustdurham.co.uk)
